Great location, small room & thin walls

Pros: - Convenient location in the city - Lots of good food and cafes around - Elevator for easy loading of luggage - Owner let us check in early which was very nice of them Cons: - Walls are SUPER thin. We can hear people talking in other rooms on both sides. We were awoken at midnight 2 of the 3 nights because other guests were talking/laughing (not even that loudly by normal standards but we can hear them crystal clear). - Double room is pretty small, barely had enough room to lay out 2 of our check in luggage suitcases - Shower was super small. Additionally, there is only an overhead rain shower head and a handheld jet stream. This might be picky but it was hard to shower without my hair getting wet.

owner Davide was brilliant as we arrived and needed an early check in as been travelling for a day. Room was no 5 nice and quiet with a small balcony overlooking street. He was literally round the corner when we arrived and came immediately to let us in. The room had aircon a must in the August heat. it was small but perfectly formed. minimalist decor but very stylish. Tv with a couple of channels no english ones mainly italian but we brought a usb with movies on! Fridge handy in room small one big enough to put some food and water and tiny ice box compartment. Open plan wardrobe and kettle with some coffee and tea plus biscuits. In the room we also had toiletries provided, shampoo, shower gel, hand soap, body cream. it was in a great spot 10 mins walk from the main town. owner even helped with storing cases after checkout as we didnt leave till late.

Maison Coquette was a lovely place. The room was very clean and well maintained. Davide was really friendly and super helpful, he gave us a map and showed us how to get to the main tourist attractions and using public transport. It is a little far out of the city centre, but it is easily walkable in 15-20mins. Plus you do not need to be near the centre to see everything. It is a quiet location though with restaurants, cafes and supermarkets nearby.

One of the best places we've stayed in during our trip, in terms of value for money and location. Davide, the man who was in-charge was super friendly, polite and very prompt, I requested for a flat iron and ironing board via text and he responded straight away, gave me the flat iron in less than 5 minutes. The room is cute and instagram worthy, very nice decor. We really enjoyed the snacks and nibbles that he left in the room for us. The cafe downstairs makes really good coffee and their pastries are super yummy and cheap. I would definitely recommend Maison Coquette especially to fitness gurus, the apartment is just a couple of blocks away from the Borghese Gardens which is a great place to go for morning runs.

We stayed a total of 4 nights here on our visit to Italy, 2 at first then returned after a quick trip to Venice. The rooms were very nice and the couple running the place were sweet. They helped us with restaurant recommendations as well as finding transportation, and even stored our heavy luggage for us during our quick trip up to Venice so we wouldn’t have to lug the extra bags. If you prefer a local family operated business like my wife and I do, I cannot recommend this place enjoy. Prego! Prego!
